Focus on playing along with the melody. Try your best to use the correct fingers on different frets. First finger on Fret 1, 2nd finger on Fret 2, etc. The second octave is a bit more difficult. It can be played in different places on the neck, but in this case we have moved it up to the area around the 5th fret. This gives you the challenge of playing "up the neck" where many guitar solos are played.
